Crate Mat (Not Chew Proof)

This Crate mat is NOT chew proof and should not be left with a puppy unsupervised because if they eat it, you could end up with a costly surgery. I only allow my adult dogs who I know do not chew to use these types of beds.

Food

We feed all our dogs purina pro plan sport 30/20 - If you have questions about food please reach out to me.

And don't forget to ALWAYS add water to the kibble, I do this for all my dogs. Dogs are meant to eat moist food, this also helps with making sure your dog is hydrated.

Leash

I prefer shorter leashes when I am not doing obedience training. However, I have found that the 6ft leashes with a traffic handle come in really handy when I want my dog or puppy to be closer to me.

Heavy Duty Chew Toys

Labradors chew! If you do not give them something to chew on they will find something! Stay away from rawhide and rope, and always supervise your pup to make sure nothing is small enough to choke on or hurt them. Surgery for a blockage is very expensive! I look for toys for aggressive chewers like bones, kong, and things that claim to be indestructible.

We use a lot of treats around here, kirkland, nudges, wellness, and blue buffalo are some of our favorites!

Crate

Crates are essential to potty training and having a well behaved dog, we crate train all of our dogs. This also helps prepare them if they ever have to spend time at a Vet's office.

Halti (instead of a harness)

I do not recommend using harnesses. If you are having trouble with pulling I always recommend seeking the advice of a trainer. If you want a tool to help with pulling I highly suggest a HALTI. My children are able to easily walk our dogs/puppies with this tool.

Collar

We really like the martingale style and this is what we use when training puppies and even with our adult dogs when we choose to use a collar. I have bought multiple from the Max and Neo brand and they seem to hold up well.

Treat Pouch for Training

Treat pouches are extremely helpful for keeping LOTS of treats on you. You will need LOTS for training a puppy. These keep them handy and then you don't get treat cumb pockets LOL!
